Oh my goodness. Absolutely not! Why on earth would I want to warn someone who is potentially breaking the law, putting their own and the lives of others at risk, that there is a speed camera ahead and to slow down!? The idea just doesn't compute to me.

Don't encourage people to break the law by warning them there is a speed camera. Sure, they may slow down to pass it, but I promise you they will speed up again after passing it.

Do us all a favour, don't warn the pricks. Let them get caught and face the consequences of their actions. Intentional speeding or not, I don't stand for it.

As far as I know high beams are illegal to flash but if you turn your lights on and off a couple times that's not illegal.

Occasionally I'll flash, it depends on the circumstances. Police like to sit on this steep downhill road near me. You have to ride the breaks super hard to stay under the speed limit. Most people slow down heaps at the top and coast down, not doing more than maybe 5km over until they reach the less steep part. If I see the police I flash then because it really is a crappy street to have to try and slow down on. It's not all that residential but the limit is still 50.

Yeah and I'd hope someone would do the same for me, not that I speed anyway.

The revenue raising excuse is ridiculous.
The only way you get caught speeding is by doing something stupid and dangerous, SPEEDING!

If you do flash people, how would you feel if a speeding motorist killed someone you knew and the only reason they were still licensed was because people warned them of police speed trapping

Nope no way. I rarely see people flash their lights as well. My mum always notices them flash but than no police hiding so I'm convince people flash to slow people down with out there being a camera or hidden cop.

I do, i beleive some streets around my place should be a higher limit than they are so i will intentionally sit maybe 10k over to keep up with traffic. I appreciate it when people do it back to me too.
