Default Has anyone fallen pregnant whilst breast feeding?

Just wondering. I'm demand feeding my DS 4.5 mo, haven't had a period yet. Wondering is it possible to fall pregnant despite not having had a period yet?

Yes, I have, but my period had returned, my child had started solids and was using a dummy.

I did. But was deliberately ttc at the time. Breast milk dried up about 2 months into pregnancy when I obviously couldn't support both the toddler and the pregnancy at once.

It's possibly to but I think unlikely. But then if took me 2 years TTC while breast feeding and I had periods for most of that time!! Argh!

    Good luck!

My mother in law fell pregnant when her first was 3 months old, and she was exclusively breastfeeding! It might be because she was a "timed" feeder.. She didn't demand feed. I have read (in a bit of an intensely natural parenting type book) that if you demand feed, co sleep, let your baby use you as a pacifier etc that its unlikely you will fall pregnant

Definitely possible. DS1 is 18 months, still demand fed (though there is not much demand anymore), and I haven't had a period since before he was born. I thought we were safe...but here I am, almost 21 weeks pregnant with DS2!
Oh, and for the record...we co-sleep, and he was using me as a pacifier non stop because he was teething at the time I fell pregnant
