From memory the numbers of women at work at 12 months is 40%, but only 8% of women (included in those 40%) are working full time. I knew I was in the minority when I returned to full time work at 12 months, but I didn't realise I was in such a small minority.

What does your Dad think that you are arguing about?

So far as I figure, when kids stop needing to be looked-after after 5pm then being a SAHP will only be a 9-5 'job'

Seeing that kids need to be looked after 24/7, then the parenting needs to be done 24/7 and that means the parenting is a shared job with the SAHP doing the 9-5 shift and outside those hours it's a shared role.

Now SAHP means Stay At Home Parent - the emphasis on PARENT. They are not a SAH Maid. They should be parenting, interacting, guiding loving parenting. *If* they can also do a load of washing etc -YAY, if not then so be it.
