I could have written your post word for word (even down to family daycare, saying "in a mood") and my carer says the same things as yours most days I pick DS up! I also know how you feel about the communication thing, its difficult isn't it. How old is your DD?

I worry constantly about DS behaviour and I feel I talk about too much sometimes to friends as a way of apologising or preparing them if we are having a playdate. Gosh it'd be nice to be able to just have a social outing without wondering what kind of sh** will the fan this time.

I think I'm going to try the Triple P parenting program, although I don't think it'll teach me new things but maybe I need support and encouragement to contintue trying my best with the things that work.

*ignore my question about how old your DD is, I just saw your older posts in this thread with her age

I think spirited toddlers are so challenging because of their lack of language and reasoning and self control. Its hard to talk down a kid who doesn't have the faintest idea what you are trying to get across!

Oh, I was looking for this thread last week after my 3.5yo pried about 15 laptop keys off. That was a couple of weeks after I caught him pouring chocolate soy milk on it. Oh, and the other day, when he flung cat litter all over the garage.

Subscribing for when I need it next time, lol.

I spent 4 hours driving and 3 hours in a cave with my child today. WHY??

Like a bat cave? Was it to do with a science experiment?

made the awful mistake of taking all the boys shopping after pickup this evening....

So me... a trolley, a vocal 2yr old, an angel 4yr old, a possibly apergers 3yr old and my spirited 7yr olds in a supermarket......

what the hell was I thinking.....

And it wasn't the 2 or 3 or 4 year olds who played up.....

Nope... it was the 7yr olds... bouncing around like rabbits, breakdancing on the floor of the vege section, hanging off the trolley and shoe skating down the isles....

and not having a clue in the world why I was getting frustrated.

My five year old DD recently screamed the house down fir two hours at bedtime..no reason.. Just over tired and over stimulated...

Anyone would have thought she was being mutilated in her bedroom!

We ran for cover.. Lol.. Left her to it.. She was holding the edge of her bed throwing her head back screaming her lungs out..nothing would stop her...

    Finally...

I told her that our neighbors might call the police if they were listening to all her screaming.

She apologised and went to sleep.

    FFS!

I had two weeks of BLISS on the school holidays. Both kids went to my mums's for a week, and then they were at home for a week it DD was booked into a school holiday program of dancing - she danced 4.5 hours per days for 4 days straight. She has never been so well behaved at home ever, or since...
