Well done on getting that far! Im glad bub is doing well now and is home with you, SCN is hard but worthwhile

Interesting what you said about your exam, I had one Wednesday at 31 wks and I'm very low but closed, he wouldnt rate the 'effaced' with a percentage but said he could feel her head! He thinks I should get 2-3 weeks, but only time will tell.

    Sorry for the late reply!

Amazing how similar our stories are! How are you going so far with this pregnancy? Are you on bed rest yet?

I would love to be able to have another baby, but just can't see how I could do it again. My OBGYN was not keen on stitching the cervix, which scared the hell out of me.

    Hope you are well

    Hey there Malu,

How are you going? How far along did you end up getting?

    Hope all went well?

Hi, my cervix was shortened at 24 weeks and I started dilating at 27 weeks. I am now 32 week almost 33 weeks and still going. However, I do not have an incompetent cervix, I have an irretable uterus causing cervical changes due to early contractions. If yours is an incompetent cervix, your situation maybe completely different hence the bed rest.

My mum had this. After my brother was born 14 weeks early (passed away the next day) and I was born 10 weeks early due to I/C, her OB put in a stitch when she was pregnant with my sister. Mum went full term and my little sis is 23 years old today

Sorry for the not-so-positive aspect, maybe it was less common to look for I/C 30 yrs ago.

Glad everyone's stories turned out so well
