Default Catholic private schools, brisbane northside

    Hi!
Anyone send their kids to either of the following schools?

Our lady of the Assumption School - Enoggera
Queen of the Apostles - Stafford
    St Dympna's - Aspley

Are they hard to get into?

I've answers in many of your other threads about northside schools so thought I may as well again
I've volunteered at St dympnas and got a great feel for the school and it has an awesome reputation

also heard good reviews about queen of apostles, haven't heard much about OLA but then don't know many people in ennogera

as for when to enroll most catholic schools are already now taking enrollments for prep 2013.
there are sometimes waitin lists invovlved an priority goes to siblings of kids already at school, catholic Children in that parish, catholic children in another parish, other religious children abd then all others so depends on size of school to if youl get In and obviously if your catholic/ your child Is baptized you've got a better chance

hi again! thanks for replying.... ooooh im just soooo confused between private and public.... ive heard many things about many schools, so it makes it hard... i heard great things about st dympna's too, and the weird thing was, was that hubby was working at the principal's house, and he was told after enquiring to him his interest in the school, that there is ""absolutely NO chance'' of getting into the school, and ''you don't live in the area"" and ''we can't service the whole of brisbane!!''''... i was a bit peeved to be honest, because i know of many kids who don't live in the area and still get into particular schools... there was no need to be so rude mind u. but i then got told he went on leave and another principal is coming/already there... don't know if it's true, but i do definately have a preference to send dd there. it's kind of put me off in a way, i do like that school but didn't like his additude, and he could have been having a crappy day, but still no need to be that rude. lol.

as for queen of apostles, i keep hearing great things bout it, but for some reason i get no feeling about it whatsoever... i can literally walk there from my house, yet i just feel a bit cold.. dunno íf it's cos a friend had their funeral at the church there or what.
