Default Govt parental leave and redundancy

Ok so I'm officially on maternity leave and have been paid my 4 and a half months up front by my employer (my choice). I am aware that I (together with the rest of my team) will be made redundant as of end of May (at least this is the date we have at the mo. nothing official yet but they are going to give us 8 weeks notice). So I'm trying to fill in the form for the govt payment - do I elect to get it from my employer (though I know that it's unlikely that I'll still be employed by the time I get the money - I've chosen to get it in June). The form seems to direct you to having to get it from your employer but I don't want the payment delayed if down the line I'm no longer employed?? Does this make sense?

I'd call Centrelink and explain. Highly likely they won't make you go via your employer in this case.
