I'm pretty much the same. I probably put in a tad more effort these days - i feel a bit old and tired so i make a bit more effort to counteract that but i'm mostly just the same. I don't wear make up much - just lipstick/lipbalm and mascara sometimes and if i'm going out somewhere special i wear tinted moisturiser and concealer. I'm a jeans and t-shirt person or else i wear simple dresses. I'm not very fancy - my hair is almost always just tied back (i go to the hairdressers maybe once a year but hate going), i shave when my legs are exposed same as pre-kids but otherwise i'm not too fussed. I don't wear perfume.
I have been accused of looking perfect though which is so absolutely ridiculous.

ETA: missed the do you like what you see in the mirror part. I think i look okay, i don't mind my facial features but my skin is gross (acne, scars, blackheads etc) but no wrinkles which is a plus i suppose. My body is okay, not great but not bad.

I can't talk about the wife part. I've been a single mum from day dot.
    But......

Do you still shave/wax your legs as soon as they start getting hairy?

No. I shower with DS and he would want to play with the razor. Not a good idea. Plus Im too tired to bother. I should do it more often though.
I could've died when this incredibly yummy nurse put my compression stockings on before going into surgery on Wednesday. He must've compared me with a orangutang

Do you make yourself look good every time you leave the house?

Nope. Never did this before having kids either. Im a lost case. There's nothing in this world that can make this woman look slightly good. Plus I get pimples and rashes with makeup.

    Do you wear perfume?

I have a bottle in the fridge. It's been there for 3 years now. It still smells beautiful (that's why it's in the fridge), but I don't use it anymore. Just some deodorant.

Do you have your hair done and make an effort with your appearance?

I have useless hair to begin with. Cut it in a short bob and that's it. I don't make an effort in my appearance either anymore. Too old and tired. Only if it's a special day like Easter, Christmas, etc.Do you like what you see when you look in the mirror?

No. Never have. Nothing I can do about it. I dont have any wrinkles (yet), but have big pores in my skin that are obvious. I have bags under my eyes.
At the moment Im having an allergic reaction to something and my face is double its size now. I just brush it off.

Yes to all of those questions except for the like what I see in the mirror. I dress nice, I wear a full face of make up everyday, I wear perfume and I straighten my hair everyday.
BUT I've been quite sick with my PCOS and I've gained back ALL the weight I lost! And I have low self confidence because of it. I think that is why I put so much effort in with the other stuff, trying to overcompensate!

I think it makes sense that women perhaps stop spending as much time preening themselves as they might pre-kids. I mean, pre-kids, you only really have to think about yourself (and your partner, if you have one, but they're adults and take care of themselves... or should, anyway).

I got fatter after having DD - that was an issue with me not dealing with her birth, rather than me just giving up and not caring... it was a depression thing.

I only started to give up on looking okay when my relationship with her father started to go downhill. I figured there was no point in bothering if he would be a jerk either way.

I have been pretty good since with my current partner though. I did get fatter with him, but have now taken steps to lose weight... and regularly shave my legs, apply make-up, wear nice clothes etc. I've found I feel much better and am more motivated to do stuff I hate (like cleaning) if I look nice... so while I don't wear make-up everyday (like today, I can't be stuffed), I still generally look nice and wear decent clothes. Even my "at home" clothes aren't hideous things... they're usually just older stuff that isn't as nice, but isn't gross either.

I don't wear perfume because I don't like the smell of it. It makes my nose itchy. I will wear it occasionally, but not often.

As for liking what I see when I look in the mirror... I think I have an effed-up self image, and am always finding faults within myself... but generally, I think I look okay-ish. Not first thing in the morning though. lol.

Do you still shave/wax your legs as soon as they start getting hairy?
Nope, I can go weeks without shaving and only do so when it bothers me...DH doesnt care so theres not much motivation to do it

Do you make yourself look good every time you leave the house?
Nope I have a shower put my hair up slap on some clothes and I'm done...it takes me 10 min to have a shower and get ready now!

    Do you wear perfume?
Yes because I have always been addicted to wearing perfume lol

Do you have your hair done and make an effort with your appearance?
Nope, as I said earlier I slap on some clothes brush my hair and I'm done.

Do you like what you see when you look in the mirror?
No I definitley don't which is why I dont make an effort weirdly enough...my attitude towards myself is that nothing is going to make me look better so why try

    Or, are you like me???

Feel fat & frumpy, rarely feel like being intimate with my poor DH (who I adore, but who has the time & energy), often put off shaving until I can't bear it anymore, am constantly tired, don't do myself up as much as I should . Sometimes I think 'I have a hubby who loves me and 2 amazing kids who adore me so why do I need to bother' but I ALWAYS feel better when I put on a bit of make up (mascara & lipgloss work a treat), a spray of perfume, and straighten my hair.

What about you? Yep I could have written that paragraph about myself basically DH says he loves me and thinks Im gorgeous so I dont bother (I also dont believe him but use it as an excuse to not put effort in), since becoming a mother I have stopped doing stuff just for me. I should be able to just go put make up on to make myself feel better but then I either cant be bothered or think that nothing I do would actually make a difference. DS has been an overly difficult baby so at first there was no time for me but now he is 6 months old I have time and have made a vow to take care of me too! I definitley can relate to you OP

To a degree yes. I weigh more then is like (love to lose 10kgs). I broke my pelvis and can't do any exercise without being in agony for weeks.

I still wear nice clothes and take pride in my appearance. I wear make up. don't ware perfume because I have bad asthma.

I always leave the house looking nice

BUT I don't wax anymore, shave when I get a chance. I'm usually really good during summer because I live in dresses but SO bad in winter.

Over all I'm pretty good just want to drop the KGs.

    I love clothes/make up /doing hair etc...

I don't like to look "mumsy" !!!!..I do not own jeans..do not own sneakers/runners ..wouldn't dream of wearing sweatpants ..(well unless really spunky juicy ones or something)
My nails are always done..hair done ..

My girl and I are always (99%) dressed very well..I love choosing what her and I wear it's so much fun..it's like everyday is runway in our house!!!

My girls kindy teacher warned me about her wearing all her gorgeous stuff to kindy as it would get ruined ..I actually don't have any "normal" kids gear ..also she is our one and only..so if it is stained when she grows out of it ..so be it (other stuff we sell on/give away)

lifes to short to look like crap!!! ha ha..

I put less effort into my appearance now than when younger, but I feel better about myself as I just don't let it worry me much. I have foun ageing good for my self esteem, oddly.

    No way!

I do it for myself, don't care what anyone else thinks. It's all for me.

I get my hair done every 6 weeks, shave when needed. Make up when my face isn't flared up & I buy way to many clothes, way to often.

I have never been one to "dress up" or wear make-up anyway. I have always been a dag. I just don't care what other people think. If they're going to judge me for wearing jeans and a t-shirt, or my gym clothes to the shops after a workout, it says more about their character than mine.

I have always gotten my hair done, though, and I still do. I've always been lazy with shaving legs, but I'm lucky enough to have blonde hair.

I think I look after myself better now physically than the few years leading up to when I had children. I eat better most of the time and I exercise.

I don't wash my hair as often though
