Omg what the heck is wrong with those carers :-( Wrong industry!!!

I would be furious if ds was at a centre like that. I would pull him out & report them.

Stories like this and ones I've heard from friends are why I can't do dc. I did etching I could to avoid it with ds, I'll do the same with any other children I have.

She took them out and reported them, but the guilt is getting to her, that she subjected them to that abuse

That's horrific, it sounds like an understaffed Russian orphanage than a DC

Wow that's awful, I'm shocked that this is aloud to happens.
my daycare tend to what the baby/child needs n wants. If they need a cuddle to sleep they get it, they nap when they need to until they in an older class then they all go down at same time an wake when they want. Im very lucky with mine tho

The centre has changed management since the complaint was laid. He has changed DC and now loves DC and asks to go in the weekends too.
WTF?!!!?? OMG thats horrendous! If that was my child someone would be needing to hold me back from the staff member that put my son in a cupboard! I would move heaven and earth to shut a place like that down- no question. Unbelievable!

Okay firstly whenever someone decides to work in childcare they have a duty of care to the children!! So this means they must report whenever they see anything wrong with a child it children.
Your friend needs to report this to the state's childcare office & she needs to advise the educator she is doing her studies through.
This is not the way any centre should be running!! They need to be closed down if so. The Director shouldn't be allowing this either. They will get a bad name for themselves running a centre for themselves. I can't see anyone hiring them for not follow proper accreditation & licensing rules.
Report now because this just makes me so frustrated!!
I'm almost finished my Diploma & no way are we taught this & who would with common sense & a heart!
If a baby/child is crying you give comfort straight away.

How awful for the kids and their families. I do fdc and try as hard as I can to keep kids in their 'normal' routine. If that means they sleep for 20 mins once a day, then so be it, I just find quiet activities for them to do while the other kids are resting. If it means they need to be rocked to sleep for 45 mins, I do that too.

Often the children I have here fall into the routine of the majority as they don't want to sleep when the others are playing and vice versa but it is never something I would 'make' them do!!
