I work for an assistance company as a case manger.

I work two days 9.30 - 2pm and the other two days 9.30 - 5pm. When they knew that my youngest was starting school this year they offered for me to do my contracted hours (22.8) in a way that would be easier for me. Last year I did three longer days. This means I only need OSHC for two afternoons and it is so much cheaper than day care.

I think you just need to look around and be willing to negotiate and have some give.

    Good luck!

If only it was that easy, I am looking for 3 days 9:30 - 4:30 it is near impossible even with companies claiming a work life balance

I work for a large insurance/assistance company. I think it depends on the people within your department. I did do three days at 9-5 for many months before they asked me about this.

Maybe I am just lucky! In this regard my work place is a wonderful place to work!

I've just returned to work, 2-3 days a week 9-2. I got offered the job through a friend, and my new boss had heard of me through the grape vine of our industry. The position was 9-4, I was going to turn it down, but they then offered me 9-2.

I was to do some reception work, but after day 1 I've been asked to manage a small general practice surgery

A lot of banks offer school hour suitable jobs. Most branches utilize a 10 - 2 person to cover tellers MT and lunch breaks.
