The bpa free ones we have have a white ring that goes under the lid with the teat (I hope that makes sense) if that's not on then it leaks

I have the honey colored avent bottles. They don't have the ring that stops them from leaking. They leak every now and then but I just screw the lid on then un screw it and screw it on again... Dosnt usually leak after that haha

I actually called avent to complain to them about their leaking bottles!

I was told, the trick is to not pull the teat through with force. Pretty much just pull through until it sits in place.

Since i have started doing this... Im yet to have a single leak. Prior i was getting leaky bottles almost every time.

If you mean leaking at the top when you shake, someone on here explained this to me and it fixed my problem! I was putting the ring into the bottle neck, then putting the top bit on. But what you're meant to do is push the ring up into the groove around the inside of the teat, then put the top bit (ring still in teat groove) onto the bottle.

Hope this (a) makes sense and (b) solves the problem!

White rings? I will have to have a look I dont remember seeing any. I bought the bottles a few months ago but only used today for the first time. If I can't find them i might have to email.
    Thanks everyone!

Yes, I bl00dy hate Avent bottles!! We had three different types - the original BPA ones, the honey coloured non-BPA and the non-BPA with the rings and they ALL leaked.

I've now switched to Tommee Tippee and Happy Baby bottles and not a single leak!
