I am 37 weeks and have only just gotten 3 or 4 on the underside of my belly. I got a lot during puberty so I've been using sweet almond oil twice every day, religiously since about 8 weeks. Also drinking a lot of water, I really do think it makes a difference!

I was exactly 29 weeks still a sad day! I had just this one tiny one, then now, at 36 weeks, my tummy is covered I'm hoping they'll fade!

ETA I was quite thin to begin with and have only put on 12 kilos.. do I don't think it has to do with weight gain! I really think its in genetics!

I can't remember when they appeared but I already had so many from puberty anyway I wasn't too upset...I did massage everyday with bio oil or cocoa butter or rosehip oil but I really don't think it helps at all, does feel nice though. My mum had a handful of really wide ones so I do think it is hereditary...

    ^^ same.

I put moisturizer on 2 -3 times daily and was lucky enough to not get any with my first. I'm 19 weeks and using the same cream again and still none yet!!

Right up until 38 weeks with my first child! I went overdue by 2 weeks....so in 4 weeks my abdomen was covered in them! Despite putting cocoa butter stuff on my belly everyday - didn't work! awwwww

I think it has a lot to do with how big the baby is (I was very skinny) and your genes. Kinda like varicose veins, some people get them some don't. Luck of the draw unfortunately and nothing you can do except embrace them.

I got two with DD1 but didn't notice them til after I had her. They were really low though.

3 years on they have faded quite a bit but I'm 36 weeks now with DD2 and on the lookout for more....nothing as yet

Not a thing until about 37 weeks with my ds1, then BAM literally woke up and had 9,577,335 stretch marks on my belly!! Haha. I used cream/oil all the way through too!
