    That is really odd! I would probably just be very busy whenever she calls. "Sorry I really have to duck out and do some grocery shopping/meet a friend/feed the baby." Hopefully she would get the hint eventually?

    Or does it really matter if you are a bit, err, harsher with her? Does it matter if you two don't end up getting along?

    would you have the confidence to tell her (in a very civil tone) that you are perfectly happy with your parenting style and that you don't need advice from her and then tell her you have to go now. Wish her a nice day and hang up. Maybe she'll be so miffed at your attitude she'll stop calling.

    BTW.....I dont speak to my closest friends every day, let alone one's I've only met a few times.

    Yea might have to start doing this.....
