we only have a courtyard, but we're looking at moving to a house with a yard soon as it doesnt feel fair on the kids that they have nowhere to run, and i cant take them somewhere to burn energy everyday

Yep, we have a very decent sized backyard. Decked alfresco with about 10x20m grassed area (estimated, not measured)

I have a huuge backyard.. Almost too big really, it'd be big enough to subdivide. Unfortunately dd & ds don't play out there much as there is no gate across the driveway and we live on a very busy main road, I worry about ds wandering out there or someone coming in. We have a swing set and bikes but it's very hilly not good for riding bikes on. I have to watch them like a hawk a s stay outside with them if they're out there. There was an old broken gate there which I asked the real estate several times to fix but instead they just removed it and never replaced it.

We have about 30 acres to play with. Around 2 acres is fenced off around the house, so lots of backyard, and lots of gardening.

Great trees for climbing, orchards for picking fruit, we love our space.

We have a tiny little courtyard. When we move I'd like some grass of my own, or if we can't afford that, somewhere close to big parks or with a communal area.

The people I nanny for have barely any yard, but we walk to a massive park at least once a day so the kids can burn energy.

No, just a paved terrace for us. We live very inner city Melbourne and there are tonnes of parks so we go for walks every day. I would love a yard though.
