    Default Kidney problems/ blockage

Hi, I'm currently 30 weeks and have had upper right pain for a few weeks. I had an u/s yesterday (there's a long wait for u/s here!) and it showed that my kidney is being blocked and is enlarged. They have put it down to pregnancy related because the tube is being squashed by baby and have told me to take panadol for the pain, I might as well swallow tic tacs though =\
I don't have any sign of infection in urine although i now have nausea and some vomiting. Dr recommended a follow up u/s in a month but have said I can't do much while UTD. Sonographer even told me 'well you only need one'... Thanks but I'd like to keep both!

Has anyone else had this or similar?
I am currently in the process of getting a 2nd opinion however was wondering if anyone had experienced first hand!

Yep! It was a major problem during my pregnancy. I was continuously on macrodantin (sp?) throughout because one of the girls was squashing my ureter and it kept causing UTI's and kidney infections which in turn caused me to go into pre-term labour 3 times. I also had thrush pretty much the whole time too because of the antibiotics! All I can suggest is keeping as hydrated as you can and antibiotics if it turns into an infection.
