Default What type of formula for a windy baby?

DS2 is 4 weeks old and has been having formula top ups since birth. He is almost fully formula fed now but is terribly windy & it disturbs his sleep. I am currently usually Nan Ha Gold. I have been told that "gold" formulas are hard to break down & can make them windy.

He is on Infacol with feeds.

Does anyone know of a good formula to help with wind?

My DS was on Nan Gold and then S26, had wind on both of them. He is now on the Aldi brand Mamia Gold, and I have to say it is fantastic. It is also cheaper than all the other gold formulas, but if you go through the ingredients list, it is the same. He is 4 months now, and I plan to keep him on the Mamia Gold.

My DD had silent reflux, I found that the Nan made her worse, in the end she ended up on Karicare Gold, but I think they call it something else now? She is nearly 3 so it has been a while!

i would stick with the Nan HA as it probably one of the best formulas around as it is 100% whey based which is actually easier to digest than others

add a little infants friends to the bottles or give after bottles its a wonderful help

I've tried karicare and s26. Both gave DS very bad wind. Now we use nan ha gold and infant's friend plus burp him as often as we can (every 20ml when he was under 6 months and now just once in the middle). We also used anti colic bottles with a slow teat. All of these things work really well for us. DSs pead (who he has seen quite often due to being a premmie) likes the Nan HA best for moRe sensitive babies. Apparently it's better for their gut and is easily digested.

we used NAN HA Gold too and agree that DS did get windy, but after finally switching on we counteracted it by more frequent burping, it meant that feeds were longer, but we figured if I had of succeeded with breastfeeding that could of taken over an hour a feed anyway.
