I got pregnant in the 3rd month off the pill with my ds. I got pregnant 2nd month off the pill with my dd. But, in between them we did TTC for 5 months in a row at one point without success. My cycles are a little unpredictable in length, so we had more success (and less stress) when I was charting my temperature and using OPK's to predict ovulation.

I've just fallen on ur second cycle of trying. Have you read about the Sperm Meets Egg Plan (SMEP?). We did this this cycle and I'm a big fan! If nothing else, it made me feel like I was being a bit proactive and had some control over the whole thing (LOL). There's heaps of info out there if you Google it, and a great support thread for Feb SMEP-ers on here.

    Lots of baby dust!

How long is a piece of string?

All the professionals say it can take 12 months for a healthy couple to conceive.

#1 took 4 months then #2 took 12 months. It was a shock to take so much longer the second time. Hopefully #3 doesnt take us as long!

    Hi there!

It took one 'try' for our first which was incredibly lucky but for second bub it took 6 months of trying.

We resorted to using an ovulation prediction kit after 4 months of trying the second time around and realised that I was basically ovulating a day or two after my period stopped which is very early and explains why we were probably struggling to fall pregnant as we were trying more later in my cycle.

DS1 - 6months and it felt like forever.

TTC number 2 - Contraception removed last march (early), AND I JUST GOT A BFP!!!!! Sorry to yell, bit excited. 13ish months. there were some months where our timing was off. I think SMEP has helped (Sperm meets Egg programmed). Try and enjoy it for now. It is soooo hard.
