Stones Corner has outlet shops and of course DFO near the Airport and at Jindalee.

I love all the little Asian/Japanese boutiques dotted around the Valley and one of my favourite Brisbane clothes store has always been Blonde Venus.
Hehe weird, I wrote Blonde Venus down in my notes just before after doing a quick google of the valley

Freaky, well then it's meant to be, off to Blonde Venus you go! Hopefully it's still there, but that said, I used to shop in it when it was still in the Elizabeth Arcade way back in the olden days!

There's another store which for the life of me I can't remember its name, she's in the Valley too and the designer appeared on that show where they competed to run and keep a restaurant? It's something like Isoki or something similar sounding and it's bugging me as I have a huge mental block. Anyway, she has some gorgeous clothes too.

I really don't think it's worthwhile going to Stones Corner anymore, most of the shops that are left there are just aa bit wrong. If you have time and cash to spare, La Trobe Tce at Paddington is worth the walk.

Wow about Stones Corner, I haven't lived in Brisvegas for while, so haven't been to Stones Corner in years, such a shame as in it's heyday in the 90's it was good for outlet shopping.

DFO at Jindalee is crap! I went there yesterday and although I found a few bargains, the whole food court is shut down and half the shops seem to be on the way out. DFO at the airport is the way to go. I also second Indooroopilly, the valley and chermside.

I haven't been there for a while, but West End used to be good for some different/funky fashions. You could combine a west end and paddington shopping day perhaps??

And I personally think Chermside is just as good as Indooroopilly to shop at. Indooroopilly always frustrates me because I can see the shop I want across and down on another level but then need to figure out how to get there . (Especially with a pram!!)

Yep, such a shame, I used to duck down there in a mad panic at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon to find something to wear that night, and I generally came back with something decent. All the big brands took their outlets to DFO so the smaller retailers struggled. They are planning on redeveloping the area and hoping to breathe some life back into the strip.

Mt Ommaney is also pretty good now it's been re-developed....

(Indooroopilly is a bit of a mess at the moment as they are in the process of adding a massive extension...)
