    Oh I dnt know the gender either so to me its ok but if it was born then I would think calling it it would b rude

    "it" I think is fine when it's not born even if the sex is known but after its born I think I would laugh it off if someone said it and say something like it? Lol it's a girl or boy he/she has a ..... Iykwim lol

    Nope.

    And to make a sweeping generalisation - I think anyone who gets upset by this is a wee bit precious and needs to relax. People rarely mean it as an insult.
