    Default Most overdue you've gone?

As the title says... I was induced with my twins at 35 weeks so don't know what it's like to go to term but my cousin is 13 days overdue and her OB really isn't concerned. She had the gel a few hours ago, was told she'll have it again in 24 hours if nothing happens, another 24 hours after they'll break her waters. I really don't understand this... Is that what other people have gone through? I had 2 synto drips and my waters broken straight away.
What's the longest anyone else has gone to?

I went 7days over with my first, my induction was booked for the 14th, which would have put me 14days overdue, I probably wouldn't except an induction earlier then 14days over unless it was medically required. but so long as Bub and I were being monitered closely I wouldn't have stressed about how many days I went over.

There is a hubber who refers to herself as a 10 month mumma, so I'm guessing she went to 44 weeks.

My friend went to 44 weeks.

I really don't understand why people feel the need to force the baby out before he or she (or the body) is ready, for no reason at all.

I was induced at 40+10 (born at 40+11) merely for being post dates. Never again. Placenta was in great condition so turns out it was completely unnecessary.

I will just keep going this time if I go over unless there was some medical issue.

I was 11 days overdue, bub had dropped weeks earlier but wasn't ready to make an appearance. I had the 'stretch & sweep' done 10 days after due date, she arrived the next day.

    DS1-40 +13
    DS2-40+8

i was induced with both, DS1 was induced by the gel, he was "small" in the U/S on 40+10 and so they gave him a few more days to come of his own accord. when he was born they found my placenta had started coming away from the wall determined by some sort of clotting.

DS2 was also "small" at +5 we discussed the options due to DS1 placenta and DS2 not moving much plus his size we decided to induce by +10 at the latest, so i had 2 S+S's and the night of the 2nd one i went into labour.
