    Hi Guys

DH & I were referred here today from QFG. Has anyone gone through them and had success?

    Cheers

Oh, I'd love to hear the answer to this as well!

Can I ask why QFG referred you here ?

Apparently they just opened this week. Qfg (wazza) also referred us because they are low cost. Will let you know how we go at our first appointment on Friday.

    ladies,

I'm also keen to know this answer! The cost is so much cheaper. I'm wondering if they have donor sperm? if they just do straight forward IVF or include saizen....

Isn't that weird that an IVF clinic is referring clients to another IVF clinic because it's cheaper... sounds weird

I know I thought it was a bit weird too but their website explains alot. If they don't recommend ivf for your condition (iui etc) then they refer back to Qfg. So I guess they kind of share patients. They have a rotating roster so you don't see the same fs each time. Apparently the nurse told my MIL who made the first enquiry for us cos she got a leaflet in the mail and they use sedation instead of anesthetic...not sure how I feel about that ... Could be good cos I have terrible veins...could be bad cos I really don't want to feel anything.

    Amanda - what is saizen?

    Default Good to know

    Hi Ladies,

    Thanks for your replies..

Nicole - we have our appointment on Friday too!
Wazza referred us because it is 7000 out of pocket for us complared to 1300 per cycle. He said we need to keep doing cycles until we get a "good" egg. 5 cycles compared to one cycle sounds good to us as we are getting older now. Apparantley this place is owned by a complany of QFG? Im a little worried about the no anesthetic for egg pick up too but wazza was saying that this was how it was done back in the day?? They dont offer PICSI apparantley and wont offer the same drug regime that wazza would. He was saying on me that will only use half the amount of FSH he would recommend. I am looking forward to tommorow and some more information to share.

    Sam

Nicole - saizan is a growth hormone, I'm adding it to the mix next time.
I called the new clinic today and she said they don't treat patients that require donor they don't use saizan or anything out of the ordinary and they only do short cycles. They have all EPU scheduled for tuesday or Wednesday. She explained Wickham Tce QFG is like Qantas and the new clinic is like Jet Star.

Oh I am curious also. Please let us know how you go Nicole. I just checked out the website, not a lot detail, but it looks like the nurse will do much of the co-ordinating and have no doubt they will do all the scans also. I am pretty much used to this as nurses at Monash do this anyway. So much cheaper though.
