I love the name Wilhelmina, so many ways it can be shortened and gorgeous as it is. Both dp and I have W surnames though, which would be just too much matchy matchy. It screams of marvel comic character!!
I'm doing the hard sell on Beatrice or Esme right now. Dp thinks they're too old fashioned, but I can tell he's reconsidering after I explained how dated so many of the mainstream names will be in 10yrs time. Bit like Jason and Kylie from the 80s. Besides, the boys name we've picked is extremely old fashioned.
Kratos but if I end up having two more boys the second one might end up Kratos. The first will be a JR but the second I just may do it I have heard some aweful names so Kratos wont be too bad
but our lu was supposed to be lucy (as a boy :P ) but was born, and has always been a lu/lou.
nicknames grow to encompass the child imo. don't discount a name because of the nickname the child *could* end up with.
i've had to push really hard to get dd2's nickname to be what it is. and she still gets referred to by a whole bunch of unrelated to her name nicknames most of the time
Aria is a beautiful name. We have it picked but was wondering how common it is now. Does anyone know?
I have loved the name Arya (R ya) since watching Game of thrones but DP and I decided not to.... but also like Bast, Reign (rain), Willow, and Storm for girls and for boys I really like Finbar, Rhun, and Mealgwyn.
