Yep that! Just make sure you don't take more than what is recommended in 24 hrs. I find nurofen works best for me.

I don't think I would be able to because the only medication I have is aspirin with codeine or panadol with codeine and that would be waaay to much codeine

You poor thing! I am in bed with flu too, temps, shakes, hot flushes, dizzy, headache, cough and runny nose, I want to crawl up and sleep for a week. And DH just went off to work this morning not even realising (or wanting to believe) how damn sick I was! I'm so scared to pick up the kids in case I drop them or pass out! Thank God my mum is here and can on a couple extra days, I haven't felt this sick in years! Thankfully, cold and flu tabs are my friend! I hope you are feeling better very soon... Cos it sucks!

I'd only worry if it was really high (like over 41) or there were other worrying symptoms. That's for myself - I'd worry a lot sooner for a baby/young child.

Went to the doctors today. I have tonsillitis and pharyngitis. It's pretty bad so have extra strength antibiotics.

I also finally asked for help from someone to help me cope with dh's bipolar, which has been weighing me down and causing me stress.

With an infection like that the best thing for you is antibiotics. Just keep an eye on yourself still as you should also rest as much as you can. And well done for speaking out for the need for help with dh. One step at a time x
