    12mths. They say hot soapy water is enough but I never felt confident that I had the washing water hot enough so I sterilised as well.

    My DS is 6 months and I don't sterilise his things. He has an older brother and sister who love to kiss and cuddle him. I'm sure there little mouths and hands are riddled with germs but meh!!

    The only time I do sterilise is when another little mite touches or sucks on DS's dummy, then I ALWAYS sterilise

    I stopped at 1 year.. But next time i wont go on so long.. As soon as the childs sticking things in his mouth i think ill stop.

    I haven't read all the PP but when DS started crawling. I figured that if he was sucking on shoes and the toilet brush handle I no longer needed to sterilise. I did put htem in the dishwasher after a hot soapy wash.
