I never sterilize... I'm a fan of germs that build bubs immunity, i also never use bleachy cleaning products, just not necessary imo

I sterilise in an electric steam steriliser until 12 months. I just feel better doing it, besides it's no extra work and it's somewhere hygienic to keep the bottles.

If the alternative was boiling I probably wouldn't bother though

DS is 2 and 3 months, he doesn't have bottles anymore(obviously) but I still sterilize his dummies and sippy cups once a day. Bottles should be sterilized always, no matter what age.

Seriously, there's no need to sterilise, just wash well in hot soapy water, or use a dishwasher. The moment a dummy comes out of the steriliser it's no longer sterile, so no major bonus there.

The only exception is if you leave milk in a bottle on the bench for a while like me I would definitely use a dishwasher or sterilise it before next use.

I did with jasper until he crawled. (6 months) probably would do the same with little miss.

    Birth!

Was glad to see that the hospitals now don't sterilise bottles etc and just use hot, soapy water.
