DaniMc - what sort of Chinese medicine/herbs do you use?

Have tried Alchemy, all the natural stuff (as well as even the home made stuff, African soaps etc).

Areca - thanks for that, so far an antibiotic and trying retin-a cream are looking like the best options.

I smoke and take the pill (brevinor)... I've had no side affects but my skin wasnt bad to begin with.

A friend of mine saw a dermatologist for severe acne (for the past 25 years) and he recommended avocado oil. His skin looks fantastic now. Maybe worth a shot?

I don't get acne but i have another skin condition... I understand the desperation after trying everything with minimal results.

Hope you find something that works for you

I have no idea what sort of herbs I used and never thought to ask! I just found a practitioner (a former GP from memory) who specialised in Chinese medicine and took what they gave me. In hindsight I should have checked, but whatever it was tasted absolutely foul! On a positive note though once my skin was cleared I didn't need to continue taking the mixture.

    Hope that helps!
