Great thread - here's my 2 cents worth:

I spent a small fortune on acupuncture over the last 3 years and got BFN after BFN.

This year, I stayed calm through knowledge, research, meditation and breathing. Did no acupuncture and got my BFP through my first IVF cycle of the year.

I had always been a big believer in the practice of acupuncture but it just wasn't getting me to where I wanted to be. When I surrendered myself emotionally and physically to the IVF process, I got the result I was hoping for...

Wishing you the very best of luck , whatever you decide to do or can afford to do!

I did weekly acupuncture for 2.5 years. It helped in regulating AF but did nothing in terms of assisting in conception. It also cost me a small fortune but I was/am willing to give anything a chance.
I can also relate to the other ladies in that it was stressful trying to get to the acupuncturist on time before and after transfer - probably having the opposite affect than it is meant to.
Some refereed journal articles do indicate increased success using acupuncture so I would never rule it out for anyone or say that it doesn't help.

Mom2oneDS- you are right. All true. And let's face it, the cost is as uncomfortable as the process itself! I will stick with it for a cycle but if no inner 'peace' then I may just leave it and spend my money on retail therapy! Good luck for your 2WW. Fingers crossed for a BFP!

Summashine- I agree! I had been going once a week 7 weeks before we started ivf, then before and after transfer then 2 times a week in the tww.. And continued after that.., then my dh started going for his calf muscle that wouldn't heal- it worked for that,. So all up at $60 a pop that is alot of mula!!

    Hi all,

I did acupuncture for the first 8 emby transfers (harvest #1) no success. We decided it was too expensive. The last cycle was a success without acupuncture which resulted in our precious twin girls now 1yr old. I really don't think it made any difference for me other than lighten my purse!

    Cheers Meg

    Hi
I have had 2 BFP out of 3 FET's with no acu.
If it makes you feel better then do it but if not I really don't think it makes that much of a difference .

    Best of luck
