Default Dispositions of an Early childhood educators

    Going through a text book
Out of curiosity what dispositions do you think an early childhood educator needs (early childhood educators meaning someone who works with children 0-5 in preschool, long day care, prep, family day care, occasional care, nanny capacity)

okay... sense of humour, warm, cheerful, organised, patient and most importantly insightful. i have met many EC educators and the most effective and amazing ones are insightful and have a great intuition and understanding of how each kid works, knowing what makes them tick and knowing the child's intentions when they do something 'wrong'.

Same as OP but I'd add professionalism as a desired attribute..
I'm studying my bachelor of early childhood education and had to do the same list a few semesters back ;-)
