We told family but I never told anyone else I was even pregnant. Didn't put it on FB or anything.

People would run into me and be shocked I was massively pregnant. I wouldn't do that now though but back then I knew all my friends would disapprove and I didn't need that cr@p in my life when I was over the moon.

well after the response I got today from a friend, I wont be telling anyone anything! He asked if we had thought of any names, I told him a few names. He looked at DP and said" good lord, I think you need to step in here so she doesn't give your kid a goofy name".

    How mean!

We don't even know the gender ourselves so if we don't know I have no clue how anyone else would *giggles* We told everyone it was just the one bub and only our parents know the names we have picked out.

We told the gender with DS...that way if anyone wanted to buy us presents they knew to buy blue
We didn't have his name picked until a few days before he was born, and we didn't pick the spelling until I was in labour...there was a bit of an argument about it and because I was in pain I won!
This pregnancy we don't know the gender, we have a definite girls name and a tentative boys name...we're not telling anyone anything.

I told sex, but hadn't decided on name to tell. Why? Well, I found out because he was my first, I was single and I wanted to be as prepared and organised as possible. His room was ready for him to move into about 1month before his birth!

Next time- I would like a surprise but seeing as I would also like a partner to share it with- I'll probably have to consider his wants also

We didn't find out the sex either time and DH wouldn't discuss names until the week before the birth of both babies so a few people knew some of the names I liked but nothing was even discussed until vey late in the pregnancies, I had elective c/s both times, the first one we didn't tell anyone the date until the night before and that was only so grandparents could have the day off work, with The 2nd everyone sort of ffigured out the date as they knew electives where done at around 39 weeks
