Default Drinking water before a scan

I am booked in for my NT scan this afternoon, and have been instructed to drink and hold a litre of water before the ultrasound.

I am really struggling to drink water atm though. Does anyone know if any other kind of fluid is acceptable? I have no trouble drinking soda, juice, soft drink etc, just not water.

Would love to hear from anyone in the know TIA!

I think any fluid would be ok, just water is better for you do that's what they would encourage being medical and all!

So just drink whatever you can, or even just scull the water. I went off water too and that's what I ended up doing. Or have weak cordial or water with lemon?

Doesn't necessarily have to be water, you just need to have a full bladder. Have you tried flavored waters?

I was told the liquid had to be clear...anyway, I drank lemonade for all scans. It was easier for me to drink.
