Prob not much help as I had my baby there 15 years ago, he was one of the last to be born in the old maternity suites. Must be someone on here that has had a baby there more recently than that.

I did, 5 years ago. It was a wonderful experience, and my most empowering/positive labour and birth experience yet. I was blessed with a really good midwife and was done in 3 hours, my shortest labour of all. I'd previously birthed babies at St George and RPA and was quite reluctant to use Bankstown but I was very pleasantly surprised. The post-birth care was no better and no worse than any other hospital I'd been to- it all depended on who was on staff.

    Good luck!
