I have an anterior placenta and its my first - I have been told by my Ob to be prepared that it can take up to 24 weeks before I feel real movement!

I felt movement at 16weeks! Then at 18weeks had my morph scan, told I had an anterior placenta YET I feel soooo much movement. I think it depends WHERE it's sitting in front. Mine must be very low as I can feel her kicks all the time!

Anterior just means on the front.

I think (from reading your other posts) that you really should call and make an appointment to see your midwife or OB to talk through your concerns about the crampy feeling you are getting. It is probably nothing, but you need to put your mind at ease so that you can actually enjoy the pregnancy, rather than stressing about things all the time - this is not good for you OR baby!

Don't think that they will just dismiss you as being a hypocondriac - that is what they are there for, and you deserve to be put at ease/further investigated etc.

Perhaps think of a list of things that worry you the most, and ask about your risk factors, and the tests/signs of these.

You seem so stressed...I just want to give you a big hug!
I know, I've been terrible lately! My mum told me off for the same thing yesterday, (googling all the "bad stuff", filling my head with worry) she actually had placenta previa with her first and sadly lost him 6 months after birth.
I guess I'm just a' glass half full' kinda girl at the moment, lol..
You know when something so amazing, so good is happening and you just can't believe your luck? Maybe that's it; like a fear it's all going to go wrong. Too good to be true kind of feeling... Trust me, I know I can be irrational at times and I just want to enjoy this pregnancy. The thread that started me going was about the incompetent cervix, I had passed the 12 week mark and was thinking, all smooth sailing from here.. then, whoa? It didn't help that at the time I read it I was in fact having lower pressure type cramps etc; they've gone away now, would have just been stretching or something.

Hugs back at ya Cakeish! Thanks
    Thanks all for your info.
