Yep. I go to the gym 4-5 times a week plus ride 34km on the weekend when the weather permits. My p's take the kids for a night or two almost every school holidays, we're going to a wedding sans kids soon and staying overnight at the place the wedding is at. I just started uni and currently am there every day for two weeks...I love being me and then walking back in the door to see my kids and spend time with them!
I couldn't go a month yet but I'm most certainly not one of those mum's who never needs a break from her kids. I'm a much better mother when I get time for me too and my kids love it as well!

About 2-3 nights a year i spend completely alone or just me and DH, other than that i leave the girls with Dh while i go out for a few hours here and there etc. I crave that time and i need it - i am a SAHM and my kids aren't in school yet or childcare so i spend almost all my time with them and i need breaks. I feel refreshed and happy after some time to myself and it makes me a better parent. I don't feel guilty at all for giving myself a break - i know the kids are well looked after and happy with either DH or their grandparents.
I would happy leave them for a few days or a week to go on a holiday - i'd jump at the chance tbh and it's something i plan on doing later this year or next year.
