I hope you find somewhere, I have used Palmerston Medical Centre with DS as they have a paeditrician who bulk bills and have always found them pretty good, never had much issue getting an appt. at a time I wanted.

I lived in Palmerston for 16 years, grew up here, and now have DS here and have found especially now Palmerston has most things you need (apart form the actual hospital! lol!). I went up to the afterhours clinic in December and got stitches and they were good. Unfortunately, there arent many places that bulk buill in darwin at all (except for seniors).

The health precinct has everything you need post baby (baby clinic, widwives, immunisations etc).

palmerston is a really nice area to live (and yeah we have found that everything you need is here) i like it much better than darwin its self. thats just me though.

Haha only people who live in Palmerston say that lol. You find anyone from the suburbs can't stand the place. My mum has to hold a gun to my head to make me go shopping at target with her. I live there for about 6 months. That was enough for me. Too used to the suburbs. But a few friends I have in palmo can't stand coming to the suburbs haha.

haha, maybe i am just a bit bias i did live in anula for a couple of months and i didnt really like it there. (too many creepy people coming into my yard) not really sure if thats what you count as living in the burbs but anyway haha.

yeah its sort of like getting country people into the city... does not work. i can understand why you wouldnt like it out here. its nice for some but others just feel isolated.

Haha thats where I live. And I love it. But I know a lot of others who prefer Palmerston or more rural. I thinks it's just the drive that bothers me. But they have some beautiful streets and houses out that way.

haha funny. i tend to agree about the houses and streets, such a pretty place. i have noticed when driving into darwin, it's not that pretty (maybe because palmerston is newer than darwin?.. i dunno) and it seems that things have just been placed without much thought iykwim? palmerston is set up really nicely... and some thought has gone into where things should go.

the drive for hubby to get to school is 20 mins and thats from woodroffe to fannybay. is it the time to get here that bothers you or the scenery along the way? it can be daunting having to drive that distance.

Yeah just how long it takes I think. The times I go to and from work is horrible for traffic. Even if I left early. So it took forever to get to the city from there. And no one ever visited me lol.

But I was born here and have always been in the suburbs. So I'm used to it I guess. Palmerston is nice and new looking though.

the traffic can be quite bad here sometimes. we are used to that though, being from brisbane. sometimes it would take me 40 mins to get to work when it was only a 5 min drive, so for us its a non issue but i get why it would be a pain for you though.
