Renting in Nowra..

Hi! I'll be moving to nowra soon and was wondering what places should i look for /or avoid when im looking for place to rent? nowra is a completly new place for me so would love some info

... i'll be working on worrigee st ..

Hi, I used to live there so I know the place very well!

I would avoid East Nowra or anywhere too close to it. Bomaderry has some nice streets but others not so much! There is also a smell in Bomaderry from local industry which is pretty rank at times! North Nowra or Cambewarra would be my pick, or maybe a quieter street in the older part of Nowra. West Nowra also has some nice areas. If you don't mind a bit of travel, there are plenty of coastal towns within 20-30 mins drive. Berry is 15 mins away and would be a pretty nice place to live.

Employment can be pretty scarce down there, so it's great you have a job lined up.

thanks moosie!! i'll definatly look at places that you have suggested! i've been to nowra just once ,to shoalhaven hospital so its a new place! thats the type of info i want..which places to avoid! thanks again

Avoid East Nowra like the plague.

Worrigee would be my pick. It is probably the newest part of the Shoalhaven. East Nowra would scare me. Particularly Clipper Rd. The other side (Salisbury Dr side) wouldn't be too bad

Out of curiousity I just checked out what is available for rent in Nowra on Realestate.com and a lot of the addresses are listed as Nowra, but they are totally in East Nowra! If you are looking at properties online, you may want to have a look at the address on Google maps to make sure it isn't in East Nowra.

The place has a shocking reputation for good reason. Avoid at all costs!
