My DF told everyone about a week ago. I don't really know why I'm surprised, She is always a no show when our circle of friends organizes outings. I just didn't think she'd do it on my birthday.

Well if she always does it then I'd be very hurt.

    Sounds like a great friend

My EX-bf was the same. I think I out up with it for so long because I knew once I cut her out of my life I'd have no one

My exSIL was meant to be my best friend. She made sure age upstaged me at ally birthdays. She always wore a really over the top dress, or cried, or threw a tantrum. One year she said to me, "I have a birthday too you know" on my birthday. At my birthday drinks. I am so glad she is out of my life.

I have a friend like that. She always cancels at the last minute however I guess mine at least tells me it's because she can't be bothered being social. Doesn't make it any less hurtful though so I feel for you, this friend is the first to complain about us not seeing each other much too. Makes it hard to make an effort when she can't be bothered making one either.

I also have one that I could guarantee will never show up but I know it's because he is shy and she doesn't know any of my other friends.

I hate having any kind of get together coz its more stressful than fun. Worrying about who will show up, who will get along with who. I think I need some new friends hahaha

Anyway my point is I know how you feel. Hugs to you. I hope you had a good lunch anyway
