Heck, if she's happy to pay my wage I will happily stay home!

    Wasn't she recently on Glee/

and please don't take notice. If you were a long-term SAHM you'd be criticised for "doing nothing all day" and other such nonsense.

I think it takes more courage to return to work for the sake of your family begrudgingly than raise a child in poverty something Gwen won't ever understand!!

She worked though.... and has a nanny... one for each kid. What a strange thing to say! She was writing cook books, going on TV, doing a heap of interviews, trying to start a singing career, all with young children!

Oh... to top it off, she was on Oprah when DD1 was a baby, so I can't remember everything she said, but she was outlining her routine with that new trainer Tracey whatever her name is who is famous now for her womens workouts. She was saying that she spends 3 horus a day with her in her purpose built studio for these rubber band workouts Tracey does... and how "wonderful" it is to have a trainer come to her studio so she can hear her children laughing and playing in the pool and garden with her nannies.

But hey... I guess she IS staying at home right

why didn't I think of that TLT - I should have had the nannies watch the children during my Oprah interviews and could have pursued my singing career from home while my millionairre hubby earned enough money for me to eat.

Silly me! Why didn't I think of that?!?!

    Exactly TLT.

I have worked out at home and i would be lucky (no downright shocked lol) to have a 30 minute session uninterrupted. Yet she can manage 3 hours, make a movie, write a book and appear on Oprah?? Because she has a nanny

She's a SAHM only cause she's at home most of the time- she doesn't actually look after her kids the whole time though so i don't think she can truely appreciate what SAHM means to ordinary women.

Meh. Celebrities say stupid things all the time. Might be fine for her, but if you have to work because you need the money, or work because you want to, or stay home because you want to, it doesn't mean you are a bad mother, or that she is a better mother than you.

The whole interview is a bit of a laugh - she can respect someone who cheats on their partner? Hilarious! How can you respect someone who hurts their partner and family like that??

Ahh Gwyn, go join Giselle in the foot in your mouth club. Either that or come and live in the real world for a few months and then come back and apologise for saying such idiotic things.

There's so many clangers in there that I don't even know where to start. You have to be a wife to be a mother? Motherhood and feminism aren't compatible? Motherhood and careers aren't compatible?

Do whatever floats your rich little boat, Gwen, but bear in mind that the rest of us live in the real world where the choice not to work would mean living in a box under a bridge. Also, in the real world "something really special and meaningful" does not mean prancing around with a bunch of 20somethings pretending to be teenagers, making bad covers of already tragic songs.

    Just sayin'.
