Where do you live? I only know about VIC resorts... NZ often works out to be just the same cost wise and has much better snow so worth looking into even for long weekend. Although maybe not with little ones!

Hotham and Falls Creek are both good but I think Falls is prettier.

With DS I found a DVD player that fits on the back of the headrest invaluable!! I would hire or buy second hand snow gear as they grow out of it quickly or might not even like it like our DS did the first time. We only went the once last season with him, I got a bigger size thinking he would fit into them this year but that is unlikely..

We are deciding whether to take him again this year, but we will have a newborn with us at the same time which should be interesting.

Checkout childcare options if you and your partner want to board or ski together. I know Falls offers Milo skiing for kids between 3-5 and then onwards. However there is childcare available as well.
