Is that from an American blog? I can't say anyone has ever criticised me for breastfeeding.

I actually can't say I'm loving this idea of breastfeeding being 'my choice' - to me it's a normal part of being a mother.

These are some ideas that would work even for extended breastfeeding, its a spin off of sorts

I usually say 'thanks for the advice' and leave it at that. I don't need to justify any of my parenting to anyone and don't feel I can be stuffed to re-educate people who have bizarre criticisms or think they know better.

    I agree ^!

I find I don't justify anything, just don't feel the need.

If someone asks 'are you weaning soon?' I say 'no'

    'are you feeding AGAIN?'

    'yes'

'but isn't it just for comfort at this age'

    'no'

Hahaha I must drive people nuts! I just dont engage?!!!

Mines usually "WHO recommends breastfeeding until 2 years" when I get criticism for my plan to self-wean with DD.

Shuts them up good and proper!
