What did your doctor say? I know 2 people who had babies react to mmr and rotovirus ( both hospitalised) and their doctors told them to hold off /not get the 2nd shots, do they know what one she reacted to?

My Dd reacted to the rotavirus and we have been advised not to get the 6 month needles. We will not be getting this vaccine again. (this is also due to the fact my DH caught it from my DS in 2009)

I would see a doctor and tell them what happened and see what they recommend. It's a very tough decision.

Go with your gut on this one because if the doctor says go for it get more and something happens you will feel terrible IMO not worth the risk, Maybe wait until she is older and then do them broken up maybe wait until 5 years then do a schedule where you split them and dont put so many in at a time. You can send me a PM and I can give you a good link with people who could prob help you a lot

I agree with pp, please trust your gut on this one - you can always choose to vax at a later date, but you can't undo it once it's given.

Have a very careful indepth discussion with your GP or pediatrician about the advisability of further vaccines, and which ones she should have or should avoid.

I am adamantly pro-vaccine but sometimes there are situations where it just isn't safe to vaccinate. That's why herd immunity is so important - to protect those who CAN'T be vaccinated, not those who won't be vaccinated.

I am just wondering how you know she reacted to the whooping cough vaccine as it is a combined vaccine (6 in 1). You can get the vaccines given in the hospital and they monitor them for a set amount of hours afterwards. Where do you live? Are there high rates of whooping cough in your region? If there is I would get it done but under medical observation ( ie in the hospital). Good luck!

If that happened to me there is no way I would risk it again!

I'm also very pro-vax, but recognise that some people can't be vaxxed, which is why the rest of us ought to be.

To better assess the risk of the OP I'd want to know if the seizure was due to (a) high temp, or (b) something else.

If high temp, I'd be inclined to adjust the vax schedule to not have more than 1 vax in any month, and make judicious use of fever-lowering medications. I'd start with the subunit and/or dead vaccines, progressing towards live vaccines.
Since the dead vaccines can't grow in the body, if things get out of hand you could use lots of steroids to stop the vaccine from working and to cancel the immune response. Obviously you would discuss this bail-out option with your doctor before trying any vaccine.
You can't bail-out after a live vaccine. If you tried it on a live vaccine the vax itself would cause dangerous disease. In a pinch you could try steroids + antibiotics or antivirals to stop a live vaccine response.

If something else (unspecified), I'd avoid all vax components that were given at 2 months unless Drs could give a very good reason why she should be exposed again, and would insist on close monitoring and knowing beforehand what interventions would be used and when they would be used to prevent further complications.
