Default 20+ 22 week scan showed baby had small stomach

Hi! i'm just looking for feedback from anyone who may be going through the same thing. My baby is showing a smaller than normal stomach and they are going to do a more indepth scan at 28 weeks. this is my 3rd baby and I'm approaching 40 and worried sick about it! They said that they can fix any blockages when the baby is born. Has anyone else gone through this? Any help or info is greatly appreciated.

Hey. It is too early for a definitive diagnosis on what if anything this may mean, they have just identified a potential concern. The fetal position, fluid amount in stomach and size could all give a false positive with this result. Equally, the fact that they have identified this now means that you can have close monitoring to ensure the best outcome for the wee one. It is scary to have to wait for 2 months before you get an answer, but hang in and try to enjoy, the wee one needs time to grow so they can readily identify if there is an issue or not. Good luck!

Scottish just wanted to say first of all and secondly that this happened to my friend on the 20 week scan and she was rescanned at 30 weeks and it was all fine and the stomach was in proportion with the rest (head an limbs). Try not to worry yet especially if everything else looks fine. My friends bub us now a healthy 6 month old.

My bubs stomach measured small as well. All turned out well.
It's a horrible feeling when they tell you there might be or is something wrong with your bub. Hugs
