I know an Ari, and he is male, so I think boy name, but I could see it used for a girl too. Unisex isn't bad, My partner's name is Shay which is more used on girls, but he never got picked on, and I have a girlfriend named Dylan, again, she wasn't picked on.

Ari to me is a boys name unless it's short for something like Ariadne.

I know a female Ari (Indonesian) and a male Ari (Finnish), so to me it really is unisex. Of the two I know though, the female is pronounced with a long 'a' like ahri, and the male is pronounced like Harry without the H like arri.Mothers instinct, I also knew a male shay once upon a time... Wonder if he is the same one... He's not a chef is he?

I know a male Ari so see it more as a boys name but think it would make a nice girls name too. My sons name is unisex- no big deal

Thank you ladies for your feedback, we are wanting to use it for a boy's name possibly if we have a boy! Its the character from Entourage apparently, (My hubby's fab show) I had never heard of it, then i heard two girls with the name yet i wasnt sure if it was shortend from arianne etc...

I don't mind unisex names i just never ever thought of using this for a girl
