Our Dog Ringo

Our Dog Ringo is a Maltese terrier we found him in our front yard 8 years ago he was so thin and very dirty and he's hair was so bad , he was so cute he came up to my Dh and rolled over and that was it he touched our hearts we took him to the Lort Smith vet to see if anyone owns him we had to leave him there for 8 days
but no-one claimed him so he was ours we got him de-sexed and he was fine other than

he was very thin and he was 2 years old
and now he is 10 years old he has a heart murmur ,

no teeth due to they were all going bad so the vet took them all out ,
he has gone blind over the years but he still gets around the house and

backyard fine , he sometimes bumps into things , he always finds my side of the bed to tell me he wants to go to the toilet I always wake up and know he is there , the poor Boy has to go to the toilet alot more now so it's like having a little baby and getting up all the time ,
he can be so stubborn he's just like Us
it's great that he found us that day
I hope to have him around for many more years ,

What a sweet story Rubyslippers. It sounds like you were meant to find him and be his wonderful 'family'.

I hope you have him for many more years too....they bring us so much joy....

What a beautiful beautiful story. Good on you for doing the right thing in the first place, and taking to the pound, and good on you for keeping him, and giving him such a wonderful life. Dogs are such great companions. They never fail to make u laugh at least once a day. I think everyone needs a dog!

What a lovely story! Just think - you have given that gorgeous dog of yours so many more years then he ever could have expected!

(ooh - and on the pee note...we were told to give our dog some sudafed to stop her from being as incontinent. She used to be constantly up for the toilet. It really helped her. Maybe chat to your vet and see if that option could help you)
