    Default Your pregnancy loss story..

    Hi All,
I am new to Bub Hub and I wanted to start a forum on your pregnancy loss story, Unfotunatley I had a pregnancy loss in 09/07/09 to a beautiful little girl at 20 weeks due to a placental abrubtion. It was my first pregnancy and it all happened 1 day before we were going to find out the sex, It was a suprise pregnancy and me and my partner were happy as although I was only 22 at the time I was ready to enter motherhood and this came as a big blow. Now I am happy to say I am now 24 and me and my partner have a gorgoues 11 month old girl Dakota May although through with the second pregnancy I never got to really enjoy it as I was afraid something was going to happen and take my baby girl away from me again. We are now planning to start trying for baby number 3 in the next couple of weeks. I love being a mother and can't wait to expand. Would love to hear your pregnancy loss story, I have never really spoken about my loss publicy until now and it feels good.

So sorry to hear about your loss but lovely to hear you have a beautiful little girl in your life now! Best of luck with TTC again.

I miscarried at 8 weeks after our first IVF cycle and TTC for a year and a half. I took it very hard as we had been waiting so long for a baby.

We did a frozen cycle a few months later and amazingly I fell pregnant again! I'm now holding our beautiful boy in my arms. He will be 1 month old this week.

I lost my beautiful son on 20th January 2012, I was 21 weeks and he was my first, Im only 18 but he was planned and very much wanted!
I had a scan at 20 weeks where we found out that we were having a boy which I had suspected the whole time! However at the ultrasound we were told that in the report they would refer me to have another scan as it looked like he had excess fluid on his brain. I was petrified and devastated that there might be something wrong with my baby, and i instantly rang my midwife who said she would organise to get the report and get a obstetrician to take a look at it. I got a call from the obstetrician 2 days after my scan and he said not to panic, it doesn't seem to serious but that he would book another scan at the hospital this time just to double check what is going on. My scan was booked for the following Wednesday, exactly a week after my 20 week scan.
As we were waiting in the waiting room for the scan, I knew it was going to be bad, I just had a feeling, but i was never prepared for them to tell us that we had lost our baby boy.
As they began the ultrasound i knew something was wrong, the sonographers kept looking at each other, and that's when they told us that our baby was no longer alive.
The next day i was admitted to hospital and they induced me, and then on the friday (day after) I gave birth to my beautiful little angel.

I still want a family so badly, but at the moment i cant imagine replacing my baby boy, or going through pregnancy again..I just want someone to bring him back and stop all this pain

Thanks for your stories. You know you read or hear about the stories where they are getting a check up ultrasound and the doc and midwives or nurse starts acting all weird and they know something is wrong, but when it happens to you words can't describe. I was told everything was all right when i was in the emergency room getting my ultrasound then he went and got another doc to take a look and he said im sorry you are miscarrying, then comes the worst part going through labour and giving birth knowing your little angel is going to be sleeping and there will be no cries and you won't be able to take them home with you..I never thought it was going to get better and life looked pretty glumand i blamed myself for ages but after a year and a bit i finally got the courage to try again and although i was scared the whole pregnancy and even labour, im so glad i tried again..

i'm back after a couple of years. first joined when pregnant with my first DD now 3. after a horrible breakup with her father and dealing with custody, DD and I are settled and happy in a safe, loving, beautiful home with a good man. After a year of a stable relationship I fell pregnant. It was a suprise, but one we welcomed, and after just 3 months had to say goodbye. After the birth of my first beautiful girl I suffered postnatal depression, which I have struggled and tried to manage since. After the loss of this recent pregnancy my depression has increased. I also carry the jenes of my father, who is an alcoholic. I cannot drink, one is not just be one for me and I know this, however too many times recently I've lost the strength and used alcohol to supress my sadness. I'm back on bub hub for support and motivation to be strong, take care of myself, be a good mother and partner with the hope of having another child in the future. I don't want to hurt myself any more, or the people I love. It's been 10 weeks since I had a D&C. I've been spotting on and off througout these weeks, with no idea on if I have had a period, or if the blood is just from losing bub. I'm not on contraception and my partner and I have been very busy. Fingers crossed
