    Sorry, couldn't resist

One of my girls has a name on the list. I had no idea it was so popular as we just picked a name we both liked - didn't look on the top names list or worry about that. It's a beautiful name so no wonder it is popular

I have a Mia and I know of 3 other Mia's just at daycare!

DD actually calls one of them 'other one Mia'!!

I didnt realise it was so popular until after she was born - we chose her name as it means 'mine' in Italian and DH is of Italian heritage.

My sister is called Mia, she is 23. When she was little the name was so rare that people were constantly mispronouncing it Then they would say 'Ohhh, like Mia Farrow!'

In my street (of just 8 houses) we have:

    2 Ella's (and a Bella)
    2 Charlie's
    2 Sophie's

.....and after we named dd2 Samantha, we found out one of our neighbors had a grown daughter (previous marriage) named Samantha too!!!

Yes I'm 30 and there was a girl a couple of years above me in high school called Mia - I'd never heard it before and I thought it was the most beautiful name. I still do but now it's got so popular, I just won't be able to bring myself to use it. Silly I know. A friend of mine was in the same boat - always loved Ava when no one had ever heard of it, but now it's becoming very popular she didn't want to use it for her little girl. I love a lot of the Top 10 names but won't be using any of them. They are beautiful though so I'm glad other people aren't fussed and we'll have lots of little girls with lovely names
