Given that you have blocked tubes (having been there) I would recommend having them totally removed before doing any more IVF. I did after 12 cycles and finally got a take home baby at cycle 15. The blocked tubes sometimes fill with fluid (hydro) and as your p4 levels rise they leak and wash out the embie from the uterus.

Oh yes, I agree that since your response to 3550IU is not fantastic, it is a good idea to try a higher dose eg 450IU. My responses with 300 and 450 are very different. I have seen some ladies put on 600IU and they have success. I think working on an optimal dose that suits you is important.

I stimmed on 900!!! It's not a typo. 900. Can you convert this cycle to an iui and see how you go? We couldn't as dh has had a vasectomy so we needed an egg. I know you can't see my signature on here but after stimming on 900 I gave up and my sister donated eggs to me and we had 1 fertilised and now have a 9 month old baby Max. Let us know how you go.

    Good luck kyllara.

Hope there's a juicy big egg of great quality in that follicle!

I keep hearing that it only takes one egg....

Goodluck today Kyllara....hope you get that egg out!

Just wanted to mention I stimmed on 600IU (lilypily 900IU - WOW I thought mine was high) and got 13 eggs at the ripe old age of 39 (I have never had my egg reserve checked) We ended up with 6 day 2eggs. This pregnancy is the result of one of those eggs. I was worried about the higher dose effecting quality but it seems to have worked for me. So if you do have to stim again maybe talk about a higher dose of Gonal F

    Hi Everyone
Thank you all so much for your comments and thoughts. It made me feel a lot less alone and lost
So- we had EPU this morning and got 2 eggs I have no idea where the second one came from - must have been hiding on the scans. 1 egg looks good and the other could be a little immature but fingers crossed that one of them fertilizes!
I'm so glad we risked it and went ahead......maybe I should go an buy a lotto ticket because it feels like a lucky day

    Kyllara,

Thats so great! Sometimes in your scans the ultrasonographers (though usually hugely experienced) can't see at the back so well and at egg collection they can find other follicles to aspirated. I too, hope that both eggs are good quality for you.

I only have two follicles again this cycle but will go to EPU on sat all going ok.

Good luck with the eggs fertilizing and hopefully we will hear of your transfer soon enough!

    Giohara
