I'm so confused. My friend the other week was telling me how the French sweet "Macaron" is mispronounced in Australia and that Macarons are completely different to the coconut biscuits which are called "macaroons". Manu is French and he just said "Macaroon". So which is it?
What happened in the episode tonight??
They are supposed to be pronounced differently but Aussies pronounce them the same. As if the double o doesn't exist. Same way maroon is pronounced marone........but that's a different thread ;-)
It's definitely Macaron ( Mac-a-Ron) cause we go to Adriano Zumbos all the time and that's how they say it!
Ok I thought so! I was just so confused that Manu pronounced it "Mac-ar-oon"...he's French?!
For the record, I looooove Macarons. Yum.
Jury chose a key ingredient the 4 teams all had to cook with. It was chilli.
The teams had half an hour to cook it but only one person in the team could cook at a time, and the other person had to leave the room completely, then at the 15min mark they swapped. They got scored on that dish out of 10 from both judges.
Then they had to cook a dish that showed their skill level with technique and creativity (and stuff ) in 1.5hrs using whatever they wanted. They could cook together like normal. They got scored on that out of 10 by each judges. The scores were combined to make the teams numbered 1,2,3,4. They cook off against each other on Sunday.
1st cooks off against 4th
2nd cooks off against 3rd
Its Italian boys vs two girls....and Tas couple vs Princess and her friend.

Thanks for the recap London! Despite the fact that I set my recorder to go FIFTEEN MINUTES overtime, I still missed the ending...
WHY do they do it?!
Is anyone else here kind of irritated by Petes excess eyebrow movements when he talks?
