I just watched it - I think they shoudl have got a 6 roughly from the other couples.

    I would have given
    Entree - 8
    Main - 5 (6 but wait dropt to 5)
Dessert - 5 (maybe 4) I agree with Manu about the seeds - sooooooooo lazy

Their menu was uninspired and very traditional, some of it had technique liek the entree but overall it was tired and so 80s.

    The decor was hideous.

The whole night is everything I can't stand in ppl, the Gold Coast and French food - just outdated and drab - soooooo drab.

I do think though that the other couples enjoyed scoring them low and if it was someone else they would have got higher marks.

But these ppl need to learn that just because its French and has been done this way for 1000yrs doesn't mean it can't evolve. I would be all for a classic french menu if they absolutely nailed it across the board.. which they didn't.

Totally agree. They should have come to serve drinks and explain. If that was a real restaurant, I would have left after the first hour. Waiting 3 for main was ridiculous.

And I don't understand why they didn't do the dessert sauces while the main was cooking. The pears were cooked and just needed reheating, so waiting an hour while they made 2 sauces??? Such bad time management.

Oh god the lawyer douche is still going on about the others 'kniving them'

Oh GOD stab THEM in the back? These guys treat the other contestants as dirt beneath their feet, not even intelligent enough to know what they are cooking or to understand french And they excpect loyalty and higher points for this? ]
    F* off

He won't even toast with the drinks in order to make them feel uncomfortable. What a nasty peice of work.

Hubby is working late tonight, so I got to watch it tonight! YAY!!

Geez Gary put on a good sulk didn't he?? The girls were right - sore looser. THEY might think their food was better, but clearly the table didn't.

It's a shame the girls over smoked the duck, and the main did look small.

Their restaurant however looked fabulous. I think it was very classy and just looked elegant. Much better than the night before which was just tacky.

Does anyone else hate how everyone has to wait for Pete and Manu to eat and then score before they can eat? I mean I realise for the timing etc that it makes more sense than pulling people back out of the kitchen, but I just think I'd hate to have to wait and eat a half cold meal!

I'm also curious as to why there is only 1 NZ couple. I only realised that the other night. I thought there would be one in each group.

As for the twist, I did wonder if that would be what happened when there were going to be 6 couples in the bottom. Going to get interesting I reckon!
