Default URGENT - milk donations needed in Melbourne :-(

This has been passed to me to pass on:

Does anyone know any new Mums in the Melbourne, Australia area? Please share this post:

"Are there any mothers in the Melbourne area, who could be part of a milk tree? A woman died this week while giving birth to her second daughter, at home. And the family is seeking donated milk to help bubba along.

If you can help or know someone who can, please contact ********** on facebook or PM me for phone & email .
And please send your love & thoughts to family 3yr old, 5day old & husband.

(identifying details removed at request of family)

Oh that's just awful, I feel sick for her and the family just reading that Call me naive but I just didn't think that happened anymore, even with home births. So so sad.

It's not much, but I have about 1 litre frozen (in 50-150ml portions) that I was about to throw out as my bubs is being weaned on to prescription formula (due to severe allergies we've just discovered).

I'd gladly give that if it was any use. Please let me know.

That is so sad. I have a ten month old, I'm not sure if my milk would be appropriate. Please let me know, I'm in Melbourne.

I am breastfeeding a 7mo and live in the Geelong area so I can help. My thoughts go out to the family because I too have a 3yo and it breaks my heart to think of either of my boys without me

There's been another message posted saying they are no longer calling out for donors (as well as to remove the personal information from the posts like names etc) as they have a donor waiting list already - which means so many mama's have covered the need!

    So lovely
