I didn't know. Currently I'm not enrolled so if it really bothered me I could just not enroll again

I'm fine with it being listed and available. But I Agee with veve a record of people access it should be kept. I also don't think anyone could view it but certain professions I'm ok with

I only found this out a few months ago. Pretty scary to think of people who are hiding out from abusive people in there lives.

Here is the form to apply:
    http://www.aec.gov.au/Enrolling_to_v...tors.htm#forms

You need to be specific in the stat dec about your situation. Formal documentation (DVO, partner's jail records, police or court records, custody determinations etc) will be necessary. Each application is assessed on its own merits.

I'm not enrolled to vote. My stalkers have to try harder.

Yes. Which is why we're not enrolled to vote yet (I don't trust the whole silent voting thing). My mum is letting me use her address but still unsure whether or not to go that route.

I wish i had never enrolled in the first place either. My boss was well into his 40's and had never enrolled. He was never caught out and fined either. I have another friend who is about 24. She refuses to enrol too and has never had any trouble. Wish i had of known about them when i first enrolled.

Yep, I have known since I was quite young(11-12yo). My bestie (adopted) found her mum on the electoral roll, the woman behind the counter didn't ask who/why or anything just referred us to the computer. Her mum still hasn't replied though but we know its the right address because we whitepages searched her and found the same address and then her phone number aswell, she called her but could never find words to say on the phone.

I have been fined twice as a result of not changing my address but i've got out of both of them wtih a stat dec.
I think there is a QLD election coming up? So i will get fined again but should have no trouble getting out of that one with a stat dec.
My address is not shown on the roll and never will again because of my ex and Dv. It was easy to get. Just had to put down why and what would happen if he found us after he got out of jail.
